Sign-up is now available for the QOPI® Reporting Registry, a Qualified Clinical Data Registry (QCDR) brought to you by ASTRO and the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO).
Practices with one active ASTRO or ASCO member can use the Quality Oncology Practice Initiative (QOPI)® Reporting Registry to report to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Merit-Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS). To avoid any cuts to Medicare reimbursements in 2019, practices must report on a minimum of one measure for one Medicare Part B patient in 2017. Practices who wish to participate in full reporting will also be able to do so through the QOPI® Reporting Registry.
Practices can choose to report electronically using their electronic health record through the System Integrated approach or manually through a web-based platform using the Web Interface Tool. Practices will be able to meet their MIPS requirements by reporting on one or more of the 16 measures available in the registry, as well as attest to participation in the Advancing Care Information and Improvement Activities categories. Attend a webinar for a sign-up and dashboard demo.
Practices can sign up for either reporting option by going to the ASTRO QOPI webpage. Practices who are not a part of QOPI® can sign up to receive credentials by selecting “New Sign Up” and entering the required information. A ‘Sign Up Portal User Guide’ is available here.
While one measure is the minimum requirement to avoid the 2019 penalty, ASTRO encourages practices to report on at least four measures to become fully acquainted with the system and ensure that the CMS requirements are met. The deadline to sign up for the System Integrated approach is October 6. The deadline to sign up for the Web Interface Tool is December 18.
Note: There is a cost of $75 per provider to report through the QOPI® Reporting Registry. This fee must be submitted before access to the MIPS Dashboard is granted.
